Pashinyan meets outgoing Iranian ambassador

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Wednesday held a farewell meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani, who is completing his diplomatic mission in the country.

Pashinyan thanked the ambassador for his work and emphasized that Armenia-Iran relations have reached a new level in recent years, highlighting Sobhani’s personal contribution. He also underscored the significance of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s official visit to Armenia last month, calling it a fresh impetus for strengthening bilateral ties, the Armenian government reported.

Sobhani expressed gratitude for the close cooperation with the Armenian government and said he had made every effort to deepen bilateral relations. He also thanked Armenia for awarding him the Order of Friendship and pledged to continue supporting the development of Armenia-Iran relations in the future.

The prime minister wished the outgoing ambassador success in his future endeavors.
