Kyrgyz parliament committee backs early dissolution proposal

Kyrgyzstan’s Supreme Council Committee on Constitutional Law, State Structure, Judicial and Legal Issues and Regulations on Tuesday endorsed a motion to dissolve the country’s parliament ahead of schedule, TASS reported.

The initiative was put forward by a group of lawmakers who secured the required 32 signatures in support of dissolution. The parliament is set to debate the proposal on September 24.
