A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck 80 km northeast of Ardestan in central Iran at 2035 GMT on Thursday, Xinhua reported, citing the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
The quake's epicenter was at a depth of 10 km, located at 33.86 degrees north latitude and 53.01 degrees east longitude, according to the USGS.
