FIFA fines Armenian Football Federation

FIFA has fined the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) 12,000 Swiss francs for disciplinary violations during the World Cup qualifying match between Armenia and Portugal.

According to FIFA’s official website, the sanctions were imposed for improper team conduct, breaches of order and security regulations, and incidents involving pitch invasion or attempts to invade, as well as the use of fireworks and other pyrotechnic devices.

The match took place on 6 September in Yerevan, where Armenia suffered a 0–5 defeat to Portugal.
