Homeland Party approves candidate list for Vagharshapat municipal elections

The Homeland Party has approved its list of candidates for the upcoming municipal elections in the Vagharshapat community at a board meeting on Friday.

The list is headed by Khachik Manukyan, an honorary citizen of Vagharshapat, who will run for mayor. Homeland Party Chairman Artur Vanetsyan outlined the party’s key principles, vision and development agenda for the community.

Born and raised in Etchmiadzin, Manukyan is a well-known figure in the city’s cultural and public life. Speaking at the event, he voiced concern over Armenia’s current social and political climate, accusing the authorities of “keeping the people under the illusion of falsehood” and undermining national values.

Aram Kocharyan, who comes second on the party’s election list, stressed the importance of sustainable urban development and reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining Vagharshapat’s role as the spiritual centre of the Armenian nation.

In closing, the Homeland Party members reiterated their pledge to address the needs of Vagharshapat residents and expressed confidence that unity and cooperation would help secure victory in the upcoming elections.
