Pashinyan: Constitutional changes not on Armenia's foreign policy agenda

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has rejected claims that constitutional reform is part of Armenia’s foreign policy agenda, emphasizing that any change of the constitution stem solely from domestic priorities.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Pashinyan addressed recent comments from Azerbaijan and Turkey referring to a so-called “Zangezur corridor”. He said that official statements following meetings in Copenhagen make clear that discussions focused on communications and the TRIPP project within Armenia’s territory.

“This confirms once again that in Armenia there are only two projects – the Crossroads of Peace and the TRIPP – and no other corridor or initiative exists or can exist,” Pashinyan stated.

The prime minister also stated that peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan “has been established and is a reality”.
