Two injured in major car crash in Armenia's Gegharkunik

Two people were injured in a traffic collision in Armenia’s Gegharkunik Province on Saturday morning.

The crash occurred at around 11:40 a.m. on the Yerevan–Sevan highway, when a Nissan X-Trail and a Mercedes Sprinter collided, Shamshyan.com reported.

Bystanders and employees from a nearby gas station provided first aid before emergency medical teams arrived and transported the injured to Sevan Medical Center.

Local police and investigators from the Investigative Committee’s Gegharkunik Regional Department responded to the scene. A criminal investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the crash.
