Eleven people were injured in a road accident on the Ijevan–Berd highway in Armenia’s Tavush Province on Friday morning. According to the Health Ministry, ten of the injured are in moderate condition, while one remains in serious condition at the regional medical center.
The crash occurred near the village of Tavush when a Mercedes-Benz car collided with a Hyundai bus, which veered off the road and slid about 400 metres into a nearby ravine.
Emergency services responded to the scene shortly after the 08:51 call to the Tavush regional rescue center. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
