ARF Bureau member Hrant Markarian's son dies after apparent suicide attempt

The son of Hrant Markarian, a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Bureau, has died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, ArmLur.am reports.

The incident occurred in the courtyard of a building on Papazyan Street in Yerevan late on Friday. Mkhitar Margaryan was taken to hospital with a critical throat injury but did not survive.

According to the Interior Ministry, preliminary findings suggest he shot himself. An investigation is underway.
