Man grabs Bible during service led by defrocked priest in Armenia

Tensions flared at Armenia's Hovhannavank Monastery following a liturgy celebrated by defrocked priest Stepan Asatryan on Sunday.

After the service, several worshippers approached Asatryan to kiss the Bible he was holding. However, one attendee took the book from his hands and refused to return it.

Asatryan's supporters forcibly retrieved the Bible and pushed the man out of the church.

“You have no right to be in the church,” the man shouted as he was forced out.
