One hospitalized after Yerevan shopping center fire

One person has been injured and hospitalized in the wake of a major fire that erupted at a food outlet in one of the shopping centers on Yerevan’s Komitas Avenue on Thursday, the Rescue Service reported.

Emergency services received the call at 11:08 a.m., dispatching four firefighting crews and a ladder truck to the scene. Due to the scale of the blaze, it was classified as a Level 3 emergency.

Firefighters managed to prevent the flames from spreading to the surroundings and a nearby petrol station. The fire was contained at 1:09 p.m. and extinguished at 1:54 p.m.
