Yerevan KFC to reopen in coming days after blaze; no injuries reported

A major fire broke out at a fast-food outlet in a Yerevan shopping center on Thursday.

In a statement, KFC said no staff members or customers were hurt. “No one was injured as a result of the fire,” the company said.

KFC added that its restaurants across Armenia remain open as normal and that the 60/2 Komitas Avenue branch would reopen “in the coming days” after the completion of exterior repairs. The company said the restaurant’s interior was not damaged.

The cause of the blaze was not immediately known.
