Armenia records 117 crimes in one day

Armenia’s Interior Ministry reported 117 crimes in the country between November 11 and 12, including four previously committed offenses.

According to the ministry, the largest share – 44 cases – involved driving without a valid license. Police also recorded 15 drug-related incidents, seven cases of bodily harm and six each of physical assault, theft and document forgery.

Three cases were registered for medical negligence and workplace safety violations, while two each involved fraud, property damage and illegal tree cutting. Other crimes included robbery, extortion, bribery and drug smuggling.

Six wanted persons were located, with two turning themselves in. Three individuals voluntarily surrendered weapons and ammunition.

Traffic police documented 19 road accidents in the same period, resulting in one death and 28 injuries.
