Blogger supporting opposition party 'abducted' in Vagharshapat

Blogger Ono Harutyunyan, a supporter of the opposition Mother Armenia party, has reportedly been abducted in the town of Vagharshapat.

According to the party, Harutyunyan was forced to the ground and taken away by unidentified men near its local office. “We don’t know where they took him,” its member Gevorg Stepanyan said, adding that the blogger had been with his girlfriend at the time.

The men were in civilian clothes. Harutyunyan’s girlfriend told reporters that her phone was seized when she tried to film the incident.

Harutyunyan is known for his criticism of the Vagharshapat government, accusing officials of mismanagement.
