ICDP to monitor Vagharshapat municipal elections

An Armenian civil society organization has been accredited to observe the upcoming municipal elections in the town of Vagharshapat.

The International Centre on the Development of Parliamentarism (ICDP) NGO is entitled to carry out an observation mission during the Vagharshapat City Council elections scheduled for 16 November, ICDP Director Gohar Meloyan told reporters on Wednesday.

Eight political parties and alliances are running in the Vagharshapat elections. 31 media outlets have been accredited to cover the elections, while six organizations, including two joint missions, have been authorized to conduct observation.
