Armenian podcast hosts arrested

Vazgen Saghatelyan, co-host of the Imnemnimi podcast, has been arrested, according to his lawyer, Arsen Babayan.

The arrest came after masked officers from Armenia’s National Security Service conducted searches at the homes of Saghatelyan and fellow host Narek Samsonyan on Thursday morning.

Earlier, lawyer Ruben Melikyan reported that Samsonyan had also been arrested and taken to the Investigative Committee. The two opposition bloggers are once again facing charges of “hooliganism”.
