Republic Party requests recount in Vagharshapat elections

Election authorities in Vagharshapat are set to recount ballots from several polling stations following a request by the Republic Party.

The party’s representatives demanded a recount at precincts 14/15, 14/16 and 14/22, the Central Electoral Commission reported on Tuesday. In line with the Electoral Code, District Election Commission No. 14 also held a lottery and selected three additional precincts, including 14/1, 14/8 and 14/22, for mandatory recounting.

The recounts are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday and will be streamed live from the district election commission.
