Two injured in single-vehicle crash in Armenia

A car has veered off the Sevan-Martuni-Getap highway and overturned, leaving two people injured, the Armenian Rescue Service reported.

Emergency services were alerted shortly after 8am local time on Thursday. Rescue crews arrived at the scene near the 42km mark, where an Opel had left the roadway and flipped over.

Rescuers disconnected the vehicle’s battery, shut off its gas cylinder valve and transferred the two injured passengers to paramedics. Both were taken to a medical center for treatment.
