A comprehensive forensic investigation has concluded that last year’s fire at the Domus Hypermarket branch on Isakov Avenue in Yerevan was not the result of arson, First Channel News reported.
Experts found that the blaze, which broke out on 7 October 2024, originated in a room housing air-conditioning units adjacent to the store’s warehouse. The fire spread rapidly through the warehouse and then engulfed the entire shopping complex.
Damage to the building is estimated at 1.65 billion drams, with losses to the tenant company, Domus, exceeding 800 million drams.
