SJC issues severe reprimand to judge Artur Adamyan

Armenia’s Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) has issued a severe reprimand to Artur Adamyan, a judge of the Armavir First Instance Court, after upholding a request from the General Assembly of Judges Ethics and Disciplinary Commission.

The decision takes effect immediately and is final, the agency said in a statement on Tuesday.

SJC members Karen Tumanyan and Yeranuhi Tumanyants opposed the ruling, arguing instead for the judge’s dismissal.
