Wildfire persists in Armenia's Gegharkunik

The wildfire, that erupted in the area between the villages of Chambarak and Ttujur in Armenia’s Gegharkunik Province on 21 November, remains active.

Firefighters have extinguished some outbreaks, but blazes persist in Tavush, Shirak and surrounding regions.

Over 1,800 emergency personnel, helicopters and local residents are battling the flames. Authorities warn against burning dry grass and urge anyone spotting fire to call 911.
