Armenian piano student wins top prize at Golden Time Talent competition
Lilit Poghosyan, a second-year master’s student at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, has won first prize at the 73rd Golden Time Talent international online competition, held in London for performers aged 18–24.
Poghosyan, a student of Associate Professor Anna Khachatryan, performed Piano Sonata No. 1, Op. 11 by Armenian composer Gagik Hovunts. She has been invited to take part in the competition’s online Grand Final, featuring top winners from previous editions.
Poghosyan began studying music at the age of six and also plays guitar and violin. After completing regional music school, she continued her education at the Tchaikovsky Secondary Music School before entering the Komitas Conservatory. She has taken part in numerous competitions and festivals, earning several awards.
