Fog, icy roads reported in parts of Armenia

Several roads across Armenia are affected by low visibility and patches of ice as of Wednesday morning.

Black ice has been observed in the Vardenyats Pass and on roads in the Abovyan, Sevan, Gavar and Artik regions.

Dense fog is reducing visibility to 30-50 meters on the Artashat-Ararat-Yeraskh highway, the M-5 interstate road between the 11th and 15th km in the Etchmiadzin area and the Sevan–Hrazdan roadway.

All interstate and national roads remain open. Road maintenance crews are carrying out clearing and salt-grit treatment.
