Catholicos Aram I meets with Pope Leo XIV in Lebanon

Pope Leo XIV met Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia during his visit to Lebanon, the Catholicosate reported on Facebook on Wednesday.

The two held talks at the presidential palace, where Aram I also attended an official luncheon in the Pope’s honour.

Later, Aram I joined Christian and Muslim religious leaders at a gathering in Beirut’s Martyrs’ Square, held in the presence of Leo XIV.

He was also present at the Holy and Immortal Liturgy celebrated by the Pope.
