The Bright Armenia Party has decided to run in the country’s 2026 parliamentary elections.
The decision was adopted at the party’s congress held on Saturday. Party leader Edmon Marukyan said discussions had begun with other political forces about forming an electoral alliance, a move that received the backing of congress delegates.
Marukyan also reiterated his call for consolidation within the opposition, advocating closer cooperation among opposition parties.
The announcement comes as Bright Armenia marks the 10th anniversary of its founding, which the party celebrated with a formal event earlier on Saturday.
