No injuries have been reported among residents of Aleppo’s Armenian-populated districts following an exchange of gunfire between Syrian government forces and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, according to local sources.
The Armenian-language outlet Kantsasar said on Tuesday several houses sustained partial damage during the clashes, but there were no casualties among Armenians.
Calm has since returned to Aleppo. Schools, universities and government institutions remain closed following an announcement made late on Monday night by the Aleppo governor suspending operations at those centers.
Elsewhere in the city, at least eight people were reported injured and two killed during the fighting. The Syrian Civil Defense said two of its personnel were also killed.
