ArCa cardholders in Armenia to receive 2% cashback on purchases with multiple restrictions
Armenian citizens using ArCa cards for cashless purchases will receive a 2% cashback starting from January 1, the Finance Ministry said on Friday, with limits on transaction and monthly amounts.
The maximum cashback per transaction is set at 6,000 drams, while monthly cashback per individual is capped at 60,000 drams, effectively covering purchases up to 3 million drams.
Certain payments are excluded from the program, including utility and telecom bills, state and municipal payments, and transactions with high-risk vendors such as adult content, dating sites, gambling, digital wallets, cryptocurrency services, certain financial platforms, automatic subscription renewals and purchases of precious metals or stones.
Cashback will also not apply to payments for financial services, payments via bank transactions, or purchases made with ArCa gift and single-use cards.
Deputy Finance Minister Edgar Mkrtchyan emphasized that the program includes newly issued ArCa cards as well but comes with strict usage restrictions.
