Kapan-Yerevan highway closed after crash

The Kapan–Yerevan highway was closed on both sides following a traffic accident early on Wednesday morning, the Rescue Service reported.

The collision occurred near a tunnel and involved a Nissan passenger car and a Foton trailer truck. 

The Nissan driver was injured and hospitalized in the wake of the accident.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
