The prosecutor handling the case of a pregnant woman killed in a traffic accident involving a car of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s motorcade has submitted resignation, the Armenian Prosecutor General’s Office said on Friday.
Armen Beglaryan, a senior prosecutor at the Yerevan City Prosecutor’s Office, was dismissed from his post effective January 9 by an order of Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan, according to an official decree published by the office.
Beglaryan was overseeing the case of Sona Mnatsakanyan, a young pregnant woman who died after being struck by one of the vehicles in Pashinyan’s motorcade in 2022.
