Armenian NSS says four prisoners returned by Azerbaijan as part of peace process
Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) says the repatriation of four Amenian prisoners from Azerbaijan is a practical outcome of an established peace process between the two countries.
In a statement, the NSS said that Azerbaijan handed over David Davtyan, Gevorg Sujyan, Vicken Euljekjian and Vagif Khachatryan to the Armenian authorities on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the transfer earlier, saying the men are now on Armenian territory and are being moved to Yerevan.
According to preliminary medical checks, Sujyan, Davtyan and Euljekjian have no health issues, while Khachatryan’s condition has been assessed as satisfactory.
