Georgia recorded 5.8 million international visitors in 2025, up 7% on the previous year, according to official figures. Tourist trips accounted for 5.5 million of these, an increase of 8.4% compared with 2024, Jnews reported.
Russia was the largest source of visitors, with 1.3 million arrivals – 23.2% of the total. Turkey ranked second with 16.9%, followed by Armenia at 11.9%. Russian citizens made 1.6 million trips, Turkish citizens 1.2 million, and Armenians 0.9 million.
Nearly half of all visitors were aged between 31 and 50, while women made up 43% of arrivals. Leisure and holidays remained the main purpose of travel, accounting for just over half of visits.
Tbilisi and Adjara were the most popular destinations, attracting 3.8 million and 2.7 million visits respectively.
