Dozens rescued after snowfall traps vehicles in Armenia

Emergency services in Armenia have rescued nearly 200 people after heavy snowfall left dozens of vehicles stranded across the country.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, between 30 January and 3 February, crisis management centres received multiple calls reporting cars trapped in snow. Rescue teams, working alongside police patrols, local officials and road maintenance crews, freed 97 vehicles and assisted 181 citizens.
