Domingo Hindoyan shares program of his first season as LA Opera music director

Venezuelan-Armenian conductor Domingo Hindoyan has unveiled the program of his first season as Music Director of Los Angeles Opera.

“I'm thrilled and proud to share the program of my first season as Music Director of LA Opera: With "Carmen", "Candide", "Nabucco", "Turandot", "Le nozze di Figaro", and several exciting concerts, it’s a season full of contrasts that reflects the breadth and vitality of this extraordinary company,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.

“I’m looking forward to returning to Los Angeles for two works close to my heart - "Carmen" and "Nabucco" - and to collaborating with a fantastic team and wonderful casts on both productions. You will find all the performance dates on the LA Opera website and the dates for "Carmen" and "Nabucco" on the Schedule page of my website,” the musician added.

Hindoyan, who is also the chief conductor of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, joined LA Opera in July 2025. His five-year contract will continue through the 2030/31 season.
