Two people have been taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle collision in central Yerevan in the early hours of Wednesday.
Armenia's National Crisis Management Center said it received an emergency call at 2:17 a.m. local time reporting a road traffic accident on Khanjyan Street.
Fire and rescue crews from the Interior Ministry’s Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene. Officials confirmed that four vehicles were involved in the crash – a Nissan, a Toyota, a VAZ and a parked Lexus.
Emergency responders cut power to the Nissan and Toyota vehicles and shut off their gas cylinders to prevent further danger.
The two injured individuals were taken to a medical center for treatment.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
