Armenia's most popular baby names in 2025 revealed

Armenia’s Statistical Committee has released figures on the country’s most popular baby names for 2025, revealing both enduring traditions and modern trends.

A total of 32,042 children were born during the year, including 16,796 boys and 15,246 girls.

Boys

For several years running, David has remained the most common choice, given to 1,113 boys in 2025. It was followed by Narek (704) and Hayk (608). Other names in the top ten included Monte, Leo and Areg, reflecting a growing preference for contemporary options alongside traditional favorites.

Girls

Among girls, Nare led the list with 574 registrations. Arpi (506) and Luse (504) completed the top three.

Further down the rankings, a blend of classic and modern names was evident. Boys were still often named Grigor, Vahagn and Harutyun, but newer choices such as Sam, Max and Arno also appeared. For girls, names like Mia, Gabriela and Armine rounded out the top 50.
