Around 80 vehicles trapped on road in Armenia

Around 80 vehicles were caught in a road blockage in Armenia’s Aragatsotn Province on Saturday morning due to adverse weather conditions, the Rescue Service reported.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:24 a.m. local time on the road linking the village of Artashavan to the Alphabet Park tourist site. Authorities were alerted after the road became blocked in both directions.

Traffic police and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. According to the Rescue Service, difficult weather conditions led to the formation of the blockage, leaving dozens of vehicles unable to move.

Emergency responders and patrol officers worked jointly to clear the road. Assistance was provided to 80 vehicles and 170 people.

Traffic on the affected stretch of road has since been fully restored.
