Armenia's figure skating pair finishes 14th at Winter Olympics

Armenia's figure skating pair Karina Akopova and Nikita Rakhmanin finished 14th at the 25th Winter Olympic Games, marking the country’s debut in the discipline.

Competing in the pairs event, Akopova and Rakhmanin earned 114.39 points for their free skate, performed to music from the film Slumdog Millionaire. In the short program on 15 February, skated to Ara Gevorgyan’s “Artsakh”, they scored 66.27 points.

Their combined total of 180.66 points across the two segments secured 14th place overall.

Japan’s Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara claimed the Olympic title in the event.
