Pashinyan extends condolences to Iranian leader over casualties

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a letter of condolence to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian following the deaths of Iranian leaders and ordinary citizens, his office said on Monday.

“We are following the developments around Iran with great concern. Please accept my condolences on the losses recorded among the leadership and citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Pashinyan wrote.

He added that Armenia would “always remember the personal role of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ali Khamenei, in the development of Armenia-Iran relations.”

“At this difficult moment, we sincerely hope for the swift restoration of peace and stability in the Middle East. Taking this opportunity, I wish you patience and to the friendly people of Iran, peace and resilience,” the letter said.
