Deputy Goris mayor steps down

Irina Yolyan has resigned as deputy mayor of Goris, a town in Armenia’s Syunik Province.

In a social media post on Monday, she said the decision was personal and expressed gratitude to the mayor and colleagues for their years of joint work during a challenging period.

Yolyan noted that she intends to apply her experience and knowledge in a broader field, promising to provide further details soon. While stepping down from her current role, she emphasized that her ties to Syunik and its residents remain strong, pledging to continue her public service in another capacity.

“My dedication and love for the homeland remain unchanged,” she wrote.
