Authorities in Armenia's Syunik Province have switched to an emergency working regime amid persistent heavy rainfall.
According to Syunik Governor Robert Ghukasyan, the intensity of precipitation remains high, with water levels in local rivers continuing to rise.
"Preventive and operational measures are underway to keep the situation under control," he said in a statement on Friday.
Local residents are advised to avoid riverbanks, stay away from swollen rivers and exercise caution on roads as conditions remain unstable.
