Rockfalls disrupt traffic on roads in Armenia's Syunik

Rockfalls temporarily blocked several key roads in Armenia’s Syunik Province on 27-28 March, prompting emergency response teams to clear debris and restore traffic.

The Interior Ministry’s Rescue Service reported incidents at the 15th kilometer of the Tatev-Ltshen road, the 7th kilometer of the Kapan-Kajaran highway, where traffic was reduced to a single lane, and the route from Halidzor to the Devil’s Bridge landmark, which was closed.

Fire and rescue units, supported by police patrols and road maintenance crews, carried out debris removal and safety operations. Traffic has since been fully restored on all affected roads.
