Analyst says Trump's Iran remarks signal ‘deadlock’ in conflict

A regional analyst has suggested that the United States is facing a strategic impasse in its confrontation with Iran, following a series of strongly worded remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Writing on social media on Monday, Iran specialist Vardan Voskanyan said the tone and language used by Trump in a recent post on the Truth Social indicated mounting frustration within the U.S. leadership.

In the post, Trump threatened potential strikes on Iranian infrastructure, including power plants and bridges. “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin' Strait, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah,” he wrote.

Voskanyan argued that the use of explicit and emotionally charged language could be interpreted, particularly within Iranian political culture, as a sign of anger and pressure rather than strength.

“In Iran, such rhetoric is often seen as an indicator that the opposing side is under strain,” he said, adding that Tehran may view the comments as evidence that its actions have been effective.

According to the analyst, this perception could reinforce Iran’s position that any potential de-escalation or cessation of hostilities should occur on its own terms.
