The Wings of Unity political initiative and the HayaKve national civic union have announced the end of their cooperation ahead of the June 7 parliamentary elections.
In a statement released on Friday, the HayaKve council said the two groups signed a memorandum of cooperation on February 27, pledging to form a united front. The leaders and members of both organizations worked extensively to draft a joint political program and establish a new bloc.
However, the statement noted that the sides failed to reach consensus on several key program issues. As a result, they agreed to conclude their joint work at this point.
“We thank all members and supporters of both organizations for their trust and cooperation, and wish each other success in their continued efforts for Armenia’s security and prosperity,” the group added.
