Tragic road accident in Armenia leaves six dead, children among victims
Six people have been killed and several others injured in a tragic road accident in Armenia’s Shirak Province. The collision, which occurred near the village of Aghin on Friday, involved a BMW and an Opel vehicle.
The Rescue Service reported that the cars overturned, with children trapped inside. Emergency crews cut power to the vehicles and recovered the bodies.
According to Armenia’s Ministry of Health, 11 people were injured in the crash. Five children were taken to hospital. Tragically, two of them succumbed to their injuries. Three children are being transferred to medical facilities in Yerevan for further treatment.
Officials say the condition of the other victims is assessed as serious or critical, with several in intensive care.
