Poll: Which party would Armenians vote for if parliamentary elections were held next week?

A new opinion poll conducted by Gallup International Association indicates that Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party would secure the largest share of the vote if parliamentary elections were held next Sunday.

Presenting the findings on Thursday, its director Aram Navasardyan said 26.7% of respondents expressed support for Civil Contract. The Strong Armenia alliance followed with 14.1%, while the Hayastan bloc garnered 8.2%.

Other parties trailed behind: Prosperous Armenia received 7.9%, Wings of Unity 4.2%, and the Democracy–Law and Discipline Party 3.1%. Support for Bright Armenia Party stood at 2.7%, while the Armenian Sovereign Party attracted 2.3%.

Smaller political groups registered less than 2% each, including the “New Force” reformist party (1.9%) and the Republic Party (1.7%). Several other parties polled below 1%.

A notable proportion of respondents remained undecided or disengaged: 8.3% declined to answer, 8% said they were unsure, 5.7% stated they would not vote and 1.3% indicated they would spoil their ballot.

The survey was conducted via telephone between 27 and 29 April, with a sample size of 1,101 respondents. The margin of error is reported at ±3 percentage points.
