Yerevan commuters forced to pay twice after bus breakdown

Concerns have been raised in Yerevan after a bus broke down mid-journey, leaving passengers forced to pay twice for their travel.

A Panorama.am correspondent witnessed the incident earlier on , when around 10 to 13 passengers had to step off a faulty bus and board another. Despite already having paid their fare, they were required to purchase a second ticket. No refunds were offered for the malfunctioning service.

As a result, commuters ended up paying double for a single trip through no fault of their own.

While the Yerevan Municipality strictly controls ticketing, it fails to properly oversee the condition of buses. Many vehicles operate under heavy strain, often carrying far more passengers than they are designed to handle.
