Opposition MP calls Pashinyan, Erdogan and Aliyev 'three-headed war monster'

Armenian opposition lawmaker Kristine Vardanyan of the Hayastan bloc launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s ruling Civil Contract party during a heated parliament session on Thursday, accusing the government of embodying what she called a “three-headed war monster” alongside Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Addressing pro-government MPs, Vardanyan contrasted her party’s candidate list for the upcoming parliamentary elections with that of Civil Contract. “We have a list that is 180 degrees different. Ours has defenders of the land, not those who surrender it,” she declared. 

The MP added that the Hayastan bloc’s slate does not include individuals who would claim Armenia controls Azerbaijani territory or suggest that Azerbaijan guarantees Armenia’s security.

The opposition MP stressed that the ruling party has brought war to Armenia, framing Civil Contract as the domestic force responsible for conflict. “If there is a three-headed war monster in Armenia, it is the Pashinyan-Erdogan-Aliyev war monster. Think about it,” she said.
