Karen Bekaryan unveils book dedicated to Armenian captives, political prisoners

Armenian political analyst Karen Bekaryan, chairman of the Hayatsk Analytical Center, on Friday unveiled his new book, International Matrix, describing it as a strategic examination of Armenia’s diplomatic architecture and foreign policy challenges.

Speaking to reporters during the presentation, Bekaryan said the book includes four thematic sections: Armenia and international organizations, parliamentary diplomacy, public diplomacy and the Armenian diaspora. Each chapter concludes with a policy-oriented roadmap outlining what he described as urgent measures necessary to secure rapid progress.

Asked whether he planned to send copies of the book to the Armenian government, Bekaryan expressed skepticism about the administration’s willingness to consider constructive national proposals.

“Experience has shown that anything constructive and essential for Armenia is simply absent from their agenda,” he said. “The strongest indication is the closure of the Artsakh issue and the promotion of the so-called ‘Real Armenia’ concept. These ideas bear no genuine connection to our national priorities. Therefore, I see no reason to advise or assist them.”

Bekaryan said the book is dedicated to Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, as well as all political prisoners, captives, hostages and politically persecuted individuals held in Yerevan and Baku who “have fought and continue to fight for a spiritual, secure, dignified and just Armenia and Artsakh's present and future.”
