Temperatures to climb to 35C in Yerevan

Yerevan is bracing for a spell of hot weather, with temperatures expected to rise to 35C over the next three days.

On June 17, conditions will remain dry, but from June 18 to 21, evening showers and thunderstorms are possible in some parts of the city. Forecasters warn of possible gusty winds reaching 15-18 m/s during storms.

Across Armenia, scattered showers, thunderstorms and occasional hail are likely in the afternoons and evenings between June 17-21. Winds will generally blow from the southwest at 2-5 m/s, but may intensify to 17-20 m/s during thunderstorms. Temperatures are forecast to climb steadily by 4-6C through June 20.
