Ruslan Barseghyan, a regional representative of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) in Aragatsotn Province, has been arrested and placed in pretrial detention for two months on what party members describe as fabricated charges.
Dashnaktsutyun activist Gerasim Vardanyan announced the arrest on social media, calling it “another manifestation of the criminal and political terror prevailing in the country.” He argued that opposition figures with “national identity and principles” are being targeted.
Vardanyan added that imprisonment has become “a testimony of honor and principle rather than crime” for party members, stressing that such measures cannot break their resolve. “This will all pass one day, and nothing will be forgotten,” he said.
